Today marks the birthday of the one and only World Wide Web.
The Web is now 32 years old, can you believe it? Blueocto can’t either.
Can you remember the days when you were greeted by Altavista or Yahoo on their PC as their first search engine? We can’t imagine now what life would be like without it.
So where did it all start?
It was all down to Sir Tim Berners-Lee who invented the Web in 1989, He made it, to be a way of exchanging information between computers on the internet tying them together into a vast collection of interactive multimedia resources.
Many people think that the internet and web are the same thing however they are different. The web uses internet to pass over the information.
The internet is a big network of computers connected together, the world wide web is an array of webpages found on the internet.
The web is one of the most used tools within a business, whether its to sell, market or contact people, most companies use it to grow.
Although the web has made our world a fast-paced and informative planet, there is a negative side to the Web.
For example, as the web has become so advanced, it has opened up security and fraud issues which have victimised many.
However, within the last year due to Covid_19, it is safe to say how much the web has proved to us how valuable and excellent it really is.
